Winter in Bundanoon

 •  1   • 133
Ah, Bundanoon, where even the kangaroos are rethinking their life choices this chilly morning. From my window in the nursing home, the world looks like it’s been dusted with icing sugar. The frost clings to the ground like a toddler to its mum's leg, refusing to let go. The kangaroos, bless them, are hopping about with a certain hesitation, shivering as if they’ve forgotten their winter coats at home. One particularly bold roo gives me a look as if to say, "Mate, could you turn up the thermostat?" I chuckle into my tea, savouring the warmth. The trees stand stark and bare, looking like they, too, are considering a trip to a warmer climate. It's a cold but charming scene, nature’s way of reminding us that even in Bundanoon, winter doesn’t mess around.
